We just received some sad news about one of our favorite artists.  Burt George is no longer making jewelry.  Burt is best known for his amazing inlay work.  We have been able to find a few pieces, some of which were made early in his career.  If you are a collector of his work contact us for more information on what is available.

The pictures below illustrate a few of the steps we take to hand craft our jewelry.

This is one of our favorite Native artists, her name is Effie Calavaza, or Effie C as she is better known.  She is a Zuni and lives on the Zuni Pueblo.  Effie C is 85 years old and still making jewelry! She is the only Native American to go all the way to the Supreme Court to patent her design to stop forgers from copying her famous snake design.  There are still people who try to copy the design but they look nothing like a genuine Effie C piece and are worthless to collectors.  We are often asked why we have her pieces when nobody else can get them, she was very close with our family and often called us when she had jewelry ready to sell.

Larimar
Larimar comes from the Dominican Republic, and comes from the  same mine as Blue Amber!  Larimar is light blue like Turquoise, but has a cloud like matrix.  We have tried for many years to get Larimar but it has been cost prohibitive. We have found a source direct from the mine and we can finally offer this beautiful stone to our customers.
